Business Apps play a critical role in optimizing business processes and increasing productivity. They help organizations support workflows, manage business data and respond faster to changing business needs.

Integration of Business Apps

Build your Best-of-Breed landscape

Business Apps not only offer flexibility in functionality, but also integrate seamlessly with existing business software and systems, such as ERP and CRM systems. As a result, you manage and analyze business data centrally and make informed decisions. Moreover, Business Apps can be connected to cloud solutions and other digital tools, giving businesses real-time access to critical information. This seamless integration enhances the flexibility of Business Apps and helps companies accelerate their digital transformation without disrupting their existing infrastructure

Create Business Apps with Microsoft Power Apps

At Peacock, we use Power Apps to build Business Apps with. This Low-Code platform allows users without extensive programming knowledge to build complete applications. Because of its deep integration into the Microsoft platform, it is easy to integrate a Power App with existing systems such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure.

Examples of Business Apps include:

  • A Safety App to keep track of Quality, Occupational Health and Environment (KAM), among other things, as well as add specific measurement points
  • HR Apps to track hours worked, miles driven, leave or expenses, among other things
  • Scan Apps to scan incoming or outgoing inventory and book it directly into or out of your ERP system
  • Work Instruction App for the workshop. Consider an app in which all work instructions are provided step by step and used goods are immediately charged off.
  • Catering Management App to keep a grip on current inventory, spoilage, hours worked or occupancy, for example.

The examples show that Power Apps can be used very broadly. Think of a process in your organization and there is an app that can be developed for it.

What is the process of implementing a Business App?

In six steps your process in an app

1.Kennismaking

We start the project with an inventory phase. Together with you, we organize a number of sessions to describe the processes and clarify the requirements in terms of functionality. We involve all departments that are involved in the process.

2. Architecture

Based on the business processes and functionalities described, we determine which architecture fits best. Here we look not only at the possibility of an app but also at how we can use the Power Platform in the broad sense. For example, think about automating routine work and realizing integrations with the data warehouse and other applications. How will the app fit within the entire application landscape? And how can your team work most comfortably? We then present a concept in which we outline processes and provide advice regarding the architecture.

3. Design

In the design phase, we work out the design of the solution. This consists of a technical design, a functional design and a User Experience design. An understandable and user-friendly user interface design are essential for your app. The app must feel familiar to your team, with appropriate branding. Therefore, a User Experience design is important before an app is built. In the design phase, we also translate the description of the process into a technical design and a functional design in a number of content sessions. Together with you, acceptance criteria are established that the app must meet before it can go live.

4. Ontwikkeling

By working in sprints, we ensure that your app fully meets the needs of your organization. The goal is to deliver a first working version as soon as possible. The key users have the opportunity to give feedback on the interim results. This feedback is then picked up in the next sprint, based on the priorities. In the development phase, the strategy and design of your app become reality.

5. Acceptance

After development is completed, the key users start testing based on the acceptance criteria. In this way, any issues are identified and followed up in a timely manner. After a successful acceptance test, the app can be put into use by all users.

6. Go Live

And then it's party time, the app can go live! To make sure that everything goes well and that future adjustments can also be implemented properly, we use an OTAP street and version control. This way we constantly monitor quality and optimize where necessary.

Efficiency in automation

Business Apps help streamline business processes, saving time and resources. This makes for faster and more effective ways of working and reduces the risk of human error.

Real-time insight and data analysis

Business Apps make data collection easier. This makes identifying trends, measuring performance and anticipating market changes faster and easier.

Improved collaboration and communication

Business Apps promote collaboration by facilitating information and document sharing between teams and departments.

Our team

Peter de Vries

Peter has the ability to come up with smart and innovative solutions that make it easy for customers to get a grip on complicated issues. Simplicity through technology is his motto here.

In his spare time he can usually be found outside. He then seeks relaxation in training dogs, (winter) sports, a walk in the woods or keeping up the wood stock. Of course, a well-deserved whisky should accompany this afterwards.

Jeroen Payens

Jeroen Payens is a solution architect and is happy to help you deploy Power Platform, AI and Azure solutions responsibly and securely.

On weekends and vacations, he prefers to be outdoors. Running, cycling, hiking or climbing. If possible in the Alps or in the far north.

Mina Hellamand

Mina Hellamand's responsibilities include BI and the management of various client environments. After her studies in Amsterdam, she moved back to Veenendaal because she missed the nature in the Randstad. Besides being a nature and animal lover, she also loves to cook, but especially to enjoy the meal afterwards.

Marc de Fluiter
